Donald Bauhofer

Donald Bauhofer


Don moved with his young family to Bend in 1983. After getting a law degree at the University of California at Davis and an MBA at Stanford University, Don was recruited to the 13,000-person town by Bend Research, a local technology company. In 1986, Don co-founded The Pennbrook Company with two others who believed in the future of Bend. In the 1990′s, Don became the sole shareholder of the company and guided it through the transition from a small, opportunistic development company to a regional presence, with offices from Washington to Arizona.

During this time, Don and his wife Shannon raised three daughters while remaining active as the President of the parent company and a partner in several related affiliates. Don has committed his volunteer time to regional conservation organizations, including board positions on The Deschutes Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy, as well as Central Oregon CASA and the public defender’s board of directors.

He and Shannon live in Bend and remain committed to supporting the quality of life that has made Central Oregon a great place to live.

Holly Polis

Vice President, Principal Real Estate Broker

Having grown up in a real estate family, Holly developed a love for the industry at an early age. She graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Communications is 1980. In 1986 she began her career representing clients in real estate transactions. In 1987 Holly joined Pennbrook’s San Diego office, where she represented the company in land development and investment property acquisitions. She also took primary responsibility for the development of the company’s infill townhome and condominium projects in San Diego’s beach communities. During this time she became skilled in all facets of the business, from acquisition through construction, property management and sales.

In 1993 Holly moved her family to Bend where she continued her quest for excellence, working with the company on condominium conversions, new home construction and brokerage transactions. Holly currently heads Pennbrook’s Real Estate Division where she consistently works with both buyers and sellers to help them achieve their goals. She is active in the regional residential and commercial real estate associations in order to best serve the varied needs of her clients. In her free time Holly is an active member of the Central Oregon Community. She devotes time to the Rotary Club of Bend and cherishes her long river trail walks with her dog and friends.

She is committed to making Bend a wonderful place to live and to own investment real estate.

Connie Lowe

Connie Lowe

Residential Property Manager

Connie, Cary and their new baby Bridger, moved to Bend in 1996. Bend immediately won their hearts as a place they wanted to live and raise their growing family. Along the way, they brought two more boys in to their family.Connie and Cary opened The Produce Patch, one of Bend’s first retail produce businesses. During the 13 years as a small business owner, Connie was not only involved in store operations but also devoted time to farming and baking, incorporating her creativity and love of food into the family’s lifestyle.

In addition to spending time with her family, you can find Connie reading, running or painting. In the summer the family (dogs included) loves to kayak and paddle board on one of Central Oregon’s many lakes. Connie is thankful to live in the beautiful place called Bend, where there is so much to do and see and is eager to share her love of the area with others.

Sarah is Pennbrook’s Controller and has been with the company for over 20 years. She handles accounting for all of the managed properties and takes responsibility for affiliated projects and companies.

Sarah is a native of Bend and loves the city’s people and it’s active lifestyle. She participates in the community in a wide variety of ways and is an active member of the American Association of University Women and Soroptimist International of Bend.

Kelly Stewart

Regional Property Manager


Kelly Stewart has joined Pennbrook after 10 years in management positions from nonprofit centers to technology companies. Growing up in Bend in a real estate family, she brings her passion and experience to the business each day. She attended University of Oregon and Georgetown University, where she earned her MBA. Kelly lives in Bend with her husband and two crazy kids. She enjoys golfing, playing outside and time with friends.
